Justin on 3/3/23 Sheila has been the most kind, gentle, patient & opened minded therapist one could ask for. Sheila has helped me with post marriage therapy & all the baggage that came with that. She has helped guide me through my new life as a single woman & has been one of my biggest cheerleaders the whole time. She is constantly making me challenge the way I think & giving me the ability to ask myself questions to help resolve situations I’ve come across. I’m very grateful that we were paired. Therapy with Sheila has challenged me & ultimately made me a better person, I am forever grateful. Ten out of ten, recommend Sheila!
Shaun Jones on 6/2/23 Working with Sheila has been nothing short of life changing! I tried a few therapists before her and I felt like they were wasting my time. All they did was give me worksheets and tell me about books I should read. When I met Shelia, I had those same expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. When I started, I was in a failing marriage so I sought help for that. Marriage works when both parties have an interest in fixing things so my therapy sessions soon became all about me.. and the light came on. Sheila was patient, knowledgeable, considerate, understanding and all the other things you’d want your therapist to be. After working with her, I found the most important thing anyone can find.. I found myself.. The most authentic version of myself. The happy version of myself. The version of myself that’s unafraid to express my feelings and to feel vulnerable. She didn’t do the work for me, but she definitely gave me the tools I needed to reach those things on my own and she helped me stay on track when I was struggling stay consistent during my journey. Long story short, before Sheila became my therapist I was just going through the motions of life, doing what I thought was expected of me. Since working with Sheila I have been living my life happily while showing up as the real me everyday and my life has taken an upward trajectory with no signs of slowing down any time soon. I wholeheartedly recommend her for you!
Noel B Leahy on 1/26/24 Michelle is a rare resource in our community. She first engaged with our son when he was 5 for ADHD counseling and he had an instant fondness for her. She provided us tools that helped manage much of the ADHD challenges.
We returned again with ADHD and anxiety challenges now years later and were relieved she could work him into her schedule.
Her professional services and additional advice she has provided when new challenges presented themselves has been essential to his mental health and well being. We highly recommend Michelle
Ny Rican on 8/28/2023 I cannot say enough about Michelle. She truly was my light during a difficult period and provided me with the tools I needed so I could get through it. She’s easy to talk to and goes above and beyond to make sure she’s available when you need her. Her strategies are effective and still used on a daily basis.
Robin Smith on 4/20/23 Michelle is THE ADHD expert in northeast Florida. She not only listens to all of my stressful problems in life, she but finds solutions and provides positive lifestyle outlook no matter the case. As an adult, ADHD has consumed me and having someone to talk to who understands what those daily struggles are like is refreshing and validating. Michelle tailors her sessions to her client, so if you had a rough week and want to vent, she’s there! If you need strategies, she’s there! If you need resources, she’s there! I honestly can’t say enough about her. She too has ADHD and understands when others don’t. Michelle is dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate about ADHD and has for sure changed my life! Thank you so much Michelle!!

TJ on 3/15/21 I currently see Fran for individual counseling. I have been seeing her for about two years now. Fran is a great therapist who truly listens to me and what is going on. She is very easy to open up to and talk to. She recalls what I have talked to her about in previous sessions so I don’t have to tell her the same things over and over again. It’s been a long two years for me and I am so very grateful that I have had Fran there to help me through my issues. I am a hold it in forever until I literally can’t take it anymore kind of person. I shut down instead of dealing with what tough things life brings you. We are working towards dealing with things as they happen and not letting them pile up and completely overwhelm me and cause me much distress. If you are looking for a therapist, I highly recommend Fran. She will help you through almost anything.
Sophia M on 10/8/21 Why couldn’t I have met Michelle 20 years ago? It would’ve saved me from A LOT of heartache I know that if I had, I wouldn’t have had self esteem issues since 5 yo! I could do nothing right. I was told I was lazy, obnoxious, loud, annoying, a trouble maker, I didn’t listen and didn’t follow the rules. If I only knew then what I know now. If I only knew that if I did or was any of those things, that it was because I was so easily distracted or impulsive. That I couldn’t pay attention to things that didn’t interest me because it couldn’t hold my attention and I would drift off in the middle of a sentence or read the same sentence 15 times and have no idea what I read. I needed constant reassurance and what I got was the total opposite.
Oscar Dayoub on 8/17/20 Michelle was great! She worked with our family and really taught us how to work with ADD. She really got to the correct solution and gave us the tools we needed. Thanks Michelle for everything!
Justin T on 6/10/20 Dr. Rampone was instrumental in helping us work with our 7year old. She’s patient, compassionate and easy to work with, helping our child develop the language necessary to express herself. Additionally, our child looked forward to her sessions and enjoyed talking with Dr. Rampone. I highly recommend her services for anyone, for anything!
Amanda Cooper on 4/22/2020 Michelle had been seeing my five year old boy for a year now. I was hesitant at first because he is so young but she has been absolutely amazing with him. He looks forward to his meeting every week. He was diagnosed with ADHD and she has helped us understand how to work with. He had a hard time expressing his emotions but now is able to understand why he is feeling a certain way now.
Candice Lee on 3/2/2020 Michelle and her staff are amazing. Always willing to go above and beyond. She has been a godsend for my daughter and our family.
Tom Demario on 2/25/2020 Michelle and her staff went far above and beyond in working with our family. When we had emergencies after hours she was always willing to help. She takes her clients and their issues with a true passion and desire to help. This is not one of those places going through the motions, this is a place that truly cares
Lauren H on 5/9/2019 Plain and simple, this woman saved my life. For the first time in my life, I have hope, happiness, and finally I am realizing I do have a reason to live. She was sent down here to change lives. She will forever be in my heart, I will never forget what she has done for me personally and my family.
Brittany E Blayney on 4/13/19 Me and my husband have been seeing Michelle since February every week and she is absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I can’t express enough on how she has helped our marriage and getting back to the way it use to be. Finding her was the best decision we ever made! I can’t thank her enough ❤️
Susie Van Eck Sernaker on 2/18/19 My son is on the autism spectrum and has come so far in his social skills and anger management in the time he has been seeing Michelle. Thanks in large part to her, I feel like he’s ready for his next big step in life, going to college! 🙂
Audrey Boyce on 2/1/19 Michelle is the absolute best! she’s super easy to talk too, and always makes sure you’re in a comfortable environment. from someone who has high anxiety and is scared to open up, Michelle made me feel completely at home! Ive been going to her for a few months now and I really cannot thank her enough! if you’re looking for someone you can open up too without fear of judgment and someone who is so understanding, contact Michelle! i seriously cannot recommend her enough!
Karen Robbins on 1/4/19 Excellent counseling for both adults and children. Michelle has great insight into life’s problems and is not afraid to be honest with clients. Yet, she is also sensitive with delicate matters. A professional atmosphere also allows for the client to feel comfortable.
DT on 3/7/18 Over the last 6 months she has been seeing my son & our family & I can’t say enough about her. Her expertise of ADHD is invaluable. She is always generous of her time & her dedication to helping others is very apparent. We have been to MANY different counselors & my son would not talk to ANY of them. I could not believe how easily he connected with her. She is the most down to earth, knowledgeable, caring counselors I have ever worked with. Don’t know where we would be if if wasn’t for her!
Debbie T on 3/6/18 Thank God for Michelle Rampone at About You Counseling! She has had such a significant positive impact on my family, and me that I have no words to express how thankful we all are. Michelle’s knowledge about ADHD is remarkable, which is attributed to her own experiences as a kid being untreated. She is able to see or understand things that no other counselor has even addressed. My 13 year old son has been treated for anxiety and depression in the past and has been to many counselors before, but he hasn’t connected to anyone until Michelle. He feels she “gets him” and understands how his brain works. We were also lucky enough to work with her as a family and change began immediately after our first session. Michelle is direct, yet supportive; she calls it as she sees it, which I love. She has helped me better understand my son’s thoughts and behaviors, so that I can try helping him in a more effective and loving way. I now understand how debilitating ADHD can be, however I also see the advantages of it too. I realize my son’s brain doesn’t work like most others. I realize that many of his symptoms can also be an advantage. For example, my son is always thinking outside the box, he’s creative in art and music, he invents or creates things, he’s athletic, is passionate in his endeavors, and has a heart of gold, showing compassion towards others. All along our journey, I thought there was something wrong with my son. That is so far from the truth! Michelle made my see all of the positive things that can happen when you have ADHD. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving my son life and purpose and for showing my family different perspectives of how special his really is. I truly feel my son will be in the 1% of entrepreneurs one day because Michelle taught him the skills he needed to soar and succeed, even with ADHD.
Kia Sigears Ross on 9/15/17 They really get to know you so they know how to help you best. They spend adequate time with you. They are on schedule. They really work with you in every aspect. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and real about their work. They have helped me in so many ways that I can’t thank them enough. I would highly recommend anyone at this institute. They have counselors who specialize in multiple fields. The office has a great atmosphere. I respect the counselors there to know that they are highly capable of assisting various needs with the individual or family. I love this place and these people. I am so grateful for their help.
Brittany S on 8/17/17 Michelle is a really knowledgeable and compassionate person. Highly recommend for all ages especially if you struggle with ADD.
CRJ on 10/22/2016 I have been seeing Michelle for almost 2 years now. Michelle is a very caring person, who meets the needs of all of the people she sees. She makes it a point to continue counseling until she feels as if you can cope and handle things yourself, and even after that she will still see you to check in! Michelle has helped turn me into a responsible caring person over the last couple years, and I recommend her to anyone who feels as if they need someone to talk to that they can be 100% honest with.
Nicole S on 9/11/2016 I knew she needed help, but she refused to speak any previous counselors. Michelle assured me that she has worked with teenagers like her before and if I could get her to the office, she would take care of the rest. My daughter refused to get out of the car, so Michelle went out to speak with her. Within minutes they both came into the office and my daughter has been seeing her now for the last four months! Michelle is amazing and I am so grateful to her for giving me my daughter back!
Wesley on 9/4/16 Michelle is an amazing counselor and an even more amazing person. No matter what problems may occur in your life, she will be there with you, not to pity you, but to strengthen you. I am forever grateful of her and her life changing support and direction.
Jane L on 8/15/16 I moved to Fernandina Beach in October of last year. We moved from Massachusetts where my daughter had a network of support that included her therapist. My daughter was born in Russia and lived in an orphanage until she was 18 months old. As most people know, that is the most important time in a child’s life where they bond with their Mother, receive love, attention and nutrition. My daughter never had that. She lived in a very poor orphanage where fifteen babies were tended to by one to two workers. Food consisted of milk and bread. When a baby cries there is no one to pick them up, love them or care for them. Now many years later, even though I have given her all the love and help I can, she still struggles. She has been diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, high functioning autism, anxiety and depression. All of these relate back to her time in Russia whether it be when her mother was carrying her or something that happened (or didn’t happen) in the orphanage. So important to me is having someone she can talk to and help her with life issues that I can’t help her with. She needs to learn strategies on how to get by in life which comes so easy to most of us. She struggles with having no friends and not sure how to make them. So I was extremely nervous moving here because I didn’t know if I could find someone who could carry on with the therapy she received in Massachusetts. I shouldn’t have been worried and God blessed me… through FBMS Michelle Rampone was recommended. My daughter and I met Michelle and just loved her. Michelle does not just provide therapy from a book … she lives it. She has ADHD and relates to my daughter like no one else ever has. She teaches her things that no other therapist has to date because she has lived it and gets it. My daughter loves her because she relates to her. Michelle has a support dog and my daughter loves Gus. Gus is by Michelle’s side and is very calming to my daughter who loves animals. I can’t say enough of what Michelle has been doing for my daughter. She works with her, they play games, they talk and she comes home with things to work on that are making a difference in my daughter’s life and mine. I would highly recommend Michelle Rampone to anyone looking for an amazing therapist.
Maryann J on 11/1/15 ★★★★★ I have to say that it has been a privilege to work with Michelle. She is always generous of her time and her dedication to helping others is very apparent. We have been to MANY different counselors in the past and my son would not talk to ANY of them. It was different with Michelle right from the beginning. I could not believe how easily he connected with her. She is a God sent to both my son and my family, who also love her! ★★★★★ Lauren H 6/9/2015 Finding a good therapist is really difficult. I had been to over five in my life: two of them for over a year, the other three for about three sessions. The common problem I found was 1) They seemed to let me do all the talking and offered very little feedback. 2)Attending as a couple – be it between husband/wife or as parent/teen – The Therapist was unable to be neutral, it seemed they always swayed to one side or another. Michelle’s approach is refreshing, as she wants to hear both sides and be fair. She focuses on getting the past issues on the table honestly so everyone feels heard. She then works on figuring out how to move forward in relationships, focusing on improving communication between parents and teens. She provides invaluable insight as to what is normal behavior and what is not. Michelle Rampone has been a gift to our family. She first met with all of my kids individually. She then met privately with my ex husband and myself to discuss the kids, issues, communication. Michelle then took it a step further and invited the whole family in her living room setting office to have a family meeting. The process has been incredibly effective and so is her ability to build a bridge between kids and parents. My kids were reluctant to see a Therapist, but have really bonded with Michelle due to her style. She is able to get down on their level, understand what they are feeling and then helps them to see the big picture. Michelle’s candid, open and honest style allows both the parents and the teens to feel comfortable. It’s rare that a Therapist is effective and admired by both the parents and teens that she works with – but this is exactly who Michelle Rampone is. I asked Dr. Carly Miller, MD for a recommendation of a Therapist for my kids. And her answer was “If you want the best – see Michelle Rampone” So, I did and you know what? She was right – Michelle is a truly the best Therapist that I’ve ever worked with.
★★★★★ Lori K 5/16/2015 Michelle has been a great help to me! I am in my mid-50s and after the death of my dad and my mom moving in with me, my anxiety peaked with ‘bridge fear’. I literally could not leave our island! Michelle knew exactly how to address this situation and she went at it with much enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She coached and cheered me through it and I can now cross that bridge with confidence! She has such a positive, upbeat attitude that I’ve continued to visit with her on a weekly basis and she is successfully helping me through my grief and the changes emanating from the death of my beloved dad. I would highly encourage anyone going through stress and anxiety, or just wanting to talk with someone, to make an appointment with Michelle. It has been life-changing for me.
Favant15 Created on 2/5/2015 What a wonderful experience I have had with Michelle Rampone over the past several months! Words can’t express how grateful I am to Michelle for all her undivided attention in helping me overcome many different issues that I was dealing with, including work stress, anxiety and adult ADHD. I am so relieved that I am now getting the treatment I need for a happier, more fulfilling life due to her diligence. She has always been very flexible around scheduling appointments, so that it would not interfere with my work schedule. I highly recommend Michelle to anyone seeking help in working through their issues. What a relief it has been for me to finally get the help I needed!
Elizabeth Created on 1/14/15 Michelle is incredibly understanding of the issues that teens and ADD teens face and personally empathizes with these unique struggles. As a parent, it is so helpful to have a therapist as an intermediary during the teens years, too. I recommend Michelle for this role.
HALEY Created on 6/8/2014 Michelle is an incredible person, therapist, supporter and general life-helper. She really listens to her clients and takes the time to help them recognize what is most important in their life. She is willing to go out of her way to do the right thing. I highly recommend her as a life coach. Plus, she has first hand experience dealing with the struggles of ADHD in adult life, as well as other hardship. Well versed in health and nutrition, and highly educated. Amazing person and individual!!
MEGMDP Created on 9/11/13 I had a good feeling about Michelle even before my daughter’s first appointment. She spent 40 minutes talking with me about ADD and the struggles teens with the disorder face. My daughter was in 8th grade, her grades were falling, she was irritable and angry, and frequently in trouble at home. At first appointment, Michelle talked to her about how ADD worked and shared her experiences. She really got my kid, and slowly she let her in. During the next year or so, we changed up meds, pursued academic testing, and switched schools. Michelle worked with my daughter through all of this and was an invaluable resource. Her expertise, experience, and perspective helped our family tremendously. She has a huge heart and is able to really connect with kids. Now in 10th grade, my daughter is in a much, much better place and Michelle was a big part of that transformation.

The perfect therapist for anyone
Michelle is awesome. I’ve been seeing her for years now and she helped make me into a respectable adult. Can’t say enough praises about the work she has done for me and my family. If you need a therapist Michelle is the woman for you.
Patti Created on 8/19/13 From day one, which is now 6 years ago, Michelle had been a blessing with our family. No matter what the issue is with my boys, they know she is a phone call away and picks up conversations with them like it was the day before. Aside from her patience and understanding of all ages, the 1 thing that stands out is no matter how much time goes by she always send a checking in, how are things email or text.

Professional, Dedicated, Trusted Youth and Family Counselor
We initially engaged Michelle to counsel our (then) pre-teen son. She was, and continues to be, very successful at relating to him and engaging with him, and in turn gaining the respect from him that is the key to her effectiveness. Over the years, Michelle has become a trusted family advisor, and has “been there” for our son, and our entire family, through crises and tragedies, regardless of the time of day or night.
Great parental guidance counselor since 2007 ★★★★★ peterhopkins August 17, 2013
Michelle has been my parental guidance counselor since 2007 when my primary care doctor recommended her for helping me understand and deal better with my ADHD wife and son. My understanding and insights to ADHD and related topics including anxiety, depression and BPD has increased tremendously while working with Michelle over the years and this has helped me with my family and in my dealing with everyday issues. Her insights from her own life have helped me better understand my wife’s behaviors. Michelle listens, helps identify potential issues, offers helpful approaches, is supportive and shares reference materials including new developments in her field of study. Michelle has a sharp awareness and raises good questions for discussion. I’d highly recommend Michelle to anyone, she is a great counselor.
Patricia19 Created on 8/16/13 Michelle is a great therapist and coach! I would recommend her highly to anyone, especially if they are struggling with ADHD. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know where my son would be. He was struggling in school for years and had become depressed. She not only helped him organize his schoolwork and get better grades, but there has been a drastic change in his self-esteem and confidence! I can’t thank her enough for her patience, expertise and compassion while working with not only my son, but my husband and I as well.
Chris N Created on 1/7/12 Every counselor should be like Michelle, especially when working with teenagers!! When there was some speculation about my 15 year old son having ADHD, trust me when I say I did my homework. As a parent, I wanted what was best for my son. I decided to work with Michelle after contacting many other counselors, who either didn’t return my call or rushed me off the phone or had a waiting list 3 months long. I was also fortunate enough to know a parent who meets with Michelle for guidance in dealing with her 3 behavioral kids. She had nothing but great things to say about her! When searching online, all of her reviews were great, but it wasn’t until I spoke with Michelle directly that I knew I found someone who was dedicated and passionate about helping people. As I started to share some of the difficulties he was having at home and school, she seemed to really “get my kid”. I couldn’t believe it. Before she even knew if I was going to book an appointment, she spent 45 minutes listening to my concerns, answering my questions and trying to provide some support to me. Wow! Big Impression! Michelle has been seeing my son for 5 months now and there is a noticeable difference in both his mood and how he behaves. He has gone from being angry, depressed and irritable, to someone who is able to have a conversation without screaming. He is better able to accept responsibility for his behavior, as well as consequences. He wants to be more social and is more driven than ever. I cannot thank her enough for helping my son be the wonderful kid I knew he could be!
A Google User ★★★★★ Created on 11/07/11 As many of you know, it can be very overwhelming finding someone to help your child. I did what I’m sure a lot of us parents do – I researched the internet. After what seemed like endless phone calls (some with no calls back), I found a fantastic therapist for my son. Great reviews on the internet and coincidentally a friend of a friend’s daughter has been seeing her for ADHD and depression and raved about her. Michelle has an amazing ability to connect with these kids because she also has ADHD! She’s down to earth and is able to “come to their level” and relate to them. I really can’t say enough about her. She doesn’t take insurance, but her rates are reasonable and lower than most other private pay in the area. She is definitely worth it and I feel lucky to have found her.

Great counselor! ★★★★★ Nancy D January 17, 2011
We can’t say enough about this counselor. When the time came to get my daughter some help, my wife and I did a lot of research. Not only about ADHD and depression, but we researched therapists, counselors in the area, who “specialized” in these areas. We actually found Michelle through a friend and are so glad we did. She is very knowledgeable about ADHD and has a way of getting through to kids, especially teens! We feel she is very dedicated to her clients and has always been there in crisis situations (and there have been a few!). Another good thing about Michelle is she is very accommodating and flexible with appointments. This is crucial when you have 3 kids involved in sports and extra curricular activities! If you have a teenager, who needs help – Michelle is great!

Michelle is an amazing therapist! My teenage son, who has severe ADHD feels she listens and understands him. Michelle has always been very accommodating and supportive of both my son and our family. I can’t say enough about her. Beth
